Recently, Sawnee EMC’s staff launched a “new” time saving feature called “Pay Now”, which is located at the cooperative’s website www.sawnee.com/account. Pay Now is a fast and easy online payment portal that provides Sawnee EMC members with a “direct” route to make an “on-demand” payment on their electric account with either a debit or credit card.
With this new payment option, there is no need for the user to remember a user name and password each time they wish to make a payment. The user simply enters their Sawnee EMC account number (this number is located on the member’s billing statement) and the last name of the account holder. That’s it. Payments are immediately posted to their account. What could be easier or faster?
“Over the past year, Sawnee EMC members have told us that they would like a quicker and simpler way to pay their bill online; a method that doesn’t require creating or remembering user names and passwords each time,” states Blake House, Vice President of Member Services.
Mr. House further states that with the addition of Sawnee’s Pay Now portal, “members can now quickly get direct access to the payment portion of our website without wading through a lot of other options.” “We think that is pretty amazing” he adds.
Don’t forget the many other features that Sawnee EMC offers it members at its expansive web site. Members interested in viewing their detailed hourly and daily energy data will still be able to do so through Sawnee EMC’s website at www.sawnee.com/charts. Also, for those interested in receiving email alerts about their energy usage, they can sign up for Sawnee’s billing and energy alerts.
Finally, Sawnee EMC also has a mobile App for both Android and iPhone devices available for download that allows members to view energy usage, make a payment and report a power outage, in addition to other capabilities.
